I think the most difficult challenge for massage therapists is adapting from one client’s needs to the next. Every client is different. What he or she needs is different. One client will require one mindset and one approach, the next will require something completely different.
So the therapist has to approach each new client with a completely open mindset in order to be most effective.
Getting feedback from the client during a massage or getting feedback after the massage is done is a big part of the on-going learning process, and make no mistake, being a massage therapist is not really something you “learn how to do in school” and then your education is done.
No. The education never stops. The more experienced a therapist is, generally the better he becomes.
